MicroWorld is a molecular display program for three dimensional model renderings (Dreiding, Ball&Stick, Space Fill) from atomic space coordinates, e.g. from x-ray data, databases, energy optimization programs, and so on - just look at the included slide show to see what it is all about. It features powerful functions which are, so far, quite rare with other programs of this kind:
* Antialiased sticks and mixed model lines
* Depth cueing: impression of three dimensional depth by a change of the brightness of the model parts with increasing distance to the observer.
* Transparent space fill models.
* Up to three different model types in one model.
* Import of a background picture and optional cast of a model shadow onto it.
* Colorizing of distinct model parts.
* Alignment of the model to a point, a bond, or a plane.
* Display of a color legend for element colors.
* High quality printouts.
* Mathematical coprocessor not necessarily needed.
* Optimized for 256 colors.
This product is SHAREWARE. Please support the shareware idea and give me some motivation for further work on this program, by registering for the rather symbolic fee given in the program header.

- The special math coprocessor version of the program is discontinued (since only marginable speed advantage in version 1.1).
- Various minor bugs fixed.
- Version 1.0 users caution! Due to the enhanced functionality of the version 1.1 files (MW-file and MW-picture), they are no more compatible with version 1.0 files. Sorry, but this had to be done to ensure future expandability. Nevertheless, your old files can easily be converted to version 1.1 files by again importing their original TEXT-files (coordinates) and saving them as MW-files. The version 1.0 folder of MicroWorld should be discarded and replaced by the version 1.1 folder in order to completely replace the old, now incompatible, demo-files and slide shows. Precautions have been made to prevent such format changes in the future.
